The goal of the Preschool 1 classroom is to help the children develop and learn in all areas of childhood education, such as physical, social, emotional, cognitive, reasoning, and memory. At the Preschool age, we begin to build more structure into the classroom routines to prepare students for kindergarten.
Academic and intellectual developments are critical at this stage to prepare your child for school and the children will be introduced to a letter, number, shape, color and theme each week.
Classroom Focus
Language development (reading books, introducing numbers and letters, pre-writing & drawing)
Social development (name recognition, group activities & cooperative stations)
Emotional development (showing kindness to friends, positive reinforcement)
