In the Preschool 2 classroom, we utilize a developmentally appropriate curriculum mixed with the acclaimed High Scope approach. This program provides a nurturing entry for children and parents acclimating to the routines and interactive learning of a preschool environment.
Academic and intellectual developments are critical at this stage to prepare your child for kindergarten. The children will be enjoying more challenging activities. Journal time will become part of our daily routine. In the early stages of writing, the children will scribble or draw. Portfolios which will include goals, pictures of the child and art or work samples will be established to document each child’s progression.
Classroom Focus
Language development (reading books, numbers and letters, writing & drawing)
Social development (class structure, name recognition, group activities & cooperative stations)
Emotional development (showing kindness to friends, positive reinforcement)
